Carlton Lewis

Carlton Lewis, a graduate of Coastal Carolina University and Winthrop University, leads HTC, the largest telecommunications cooperative in the United States. A native of Aynor, Lewis joined HTC in 1998 and served in several positions prior to being selected as CEO in 2022. Lewis previously served as the Cooperative's chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Lewis is on the board of the Palmetto Broadband Coalition, the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation, Partnership Grand Strand, the Foundation for Rural Service, the Broadband Cooperatives of South Carolina, and Conway Medical Center. In addition, he is an advisory board member for the finance and accounting departments at Coastal Carolina University and a board member of Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union.
