Santee Cooper President and CEO Jimmy D. Staton is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Santee Cooper’s electric and water utility. Before joining Santee Cooper in 2022, Staton was president and CEO of Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline Corporation, a leading transporter of natural gas in the Midwest. Staton, a graduate of Louisiana State University, has served on the boards of The Energy Authority (TEA), Southern Gas Association (SGA), and has been a a member of the Large Public Power Council, the Trident CEO Council, and CRDA’s Economic Leadership Council.
