The Ellie Beach Resort Myrtle Beach, Tapestry by Hilton and DoubleTree Resort Myrtle Beach, a dual-resort oceanfront destination on Springmaid Beach, announces the appointment of Marti Bowers as the director of programming and activities.
Bowers brings nearly a decade of recreation and hospitality experience to the role, with a particular focus on children’s and family programming. In her new role, she will oversee a robust calendar of activities designed for guests of all ages, building on existing offerings ranging from beach yoga and fishing clinics to family games and hands-on culinary activities. Her responsibilities will also extend to neighboring DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront.
“Programming is an important part of how our guests experience The Ellie beyond the traditional resort stay, and Marti brings the recreation background to continue building on that,” said Mark Hucek, general manager of The Ellie Beach Resort “Her experience developing activities for children and families is a natural fit for our resort and the range of guests we welcome throughout the year.”
Prior to joining The Ellie Beach Resort and DoubleTree Resort Myrtle Beach Oceanfront, Bowers served as recreation assistant manager at Ocean Lakes Family Campground, where she oversaw recreation operations, staff development, large-scale guest programming and special events. During her tenure, the campground was honored with the 2023 Premier Recreation Operation Award from the Recreation Experience Community Network. Her hospitality experience also includes roles with Hilton Grand Vacations, Carnival Cruise Line, Salamander Resort & Spa, South Seas Island Resort, and The Sea Pines Resort. Outside of her professional career, Bowers is dedicated to serving her community through multiple volunteer organizations and is an active member of the Recreation Experience Community Network.
